A Message From Chief Paul Williams

Paul F. Williams has served as Chief of Police for Springfield, Missouri, since July 1, 2010. He holds degrees in Criminal Justice from Northern Michigan University and Northeastern Oklahoma State University and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, the Senior Management Institute for Police, and the DOJ/FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar. He also teaches criminal justice at Missouri State University and is a Missouri POST certified instructor. Chief Williams is recognized as a leader in law enforcement, serving on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), as Immediate Past Chairman of its Mid-Sized Agencies Division, and as a member of Missouri’s POST Commission and Crime Lab Review Commission. He is a past president of the Missouri Police Chiefs Association and was named its “Police Chief of the Year” in 2015 and 2016, as well as one of Springfield’s Men of the Year in 2016. Beyond law enforcement, Chief Williams is deeply involved in the Springfield community. He chairs the Brightli Board of Directors and serves on the boards of Community Partnership of the Ozarks, Burrell Behavioral Health, the Greene County Family Justice Center, the 911 Advisory Board, and the Trunked Radio System Board. He is also an active member of Springfield Rotary-Downtown. We are so grateful for Chief William’s support of BCFO. Let’s help him reach his goal and send him swimming with the sharks! 🦈💖

BCFO offers personal support and comfort in real and practical ways, providing support networks, mentoring programs, a full range of resources regarding breast cancer awareness, diagnosis and treatment, where to find related community services, and more.
